Cathy, I'm sorry the formatting squashed together. This was my first try at posting something on Blogger. Under "preview" it looked good…

    Thankfully your message remains unchanged!

No problem, Paula. I know Lori appreciates your help while she is getting better. 🙂

    Outstanding post, Cathy.

One of the things I discovered when I need to deliver "walking papers" is, much as I'd like to overlap, the only way it ever works is to make a clean break so there's room for the new.

Terrifying sometimes, but otherwise, I wind up just hanging on to what doesn't work and getting more and more mired.

Thanks, Devon. You have been a big influence on me getting stronger about walking. And I thank you for that. 🙂

Now I'm just mad that the calculator doesn't play Kumbaya. Or, depending on the numbers you get, Highway to Hell and Stairway to Heaven.

Cathy, this is brilliant. I think writers get stuck in this idea that we have to leap in with two feet and run like hell fresh out of the gate. This isn't a horse race — it's a career. Inertia is the death of any career, so if you don't want the marathon and you don't want the lack of movement, what can you do?

Baby steps. 🙂 May take a few dozen, but as you say, it's movement forward.

Thank you, dear friend, for the post. Great wisdom, per usual. 🙂

Always good to keep a handle on the numbers, Cathy. Thanks for this reminder.
