Writers Worth: Taking Care of You

Posted on by

What’s this? A post on a holiday?

Don’t worry — the message is simple:

Freelancer, give yourself permission to enjoy some down time.

Today:

  • Don’t check email.
  • Don’t feel guilty for not getting a head start on that big project.
  • Don’t schedule tweets.
  • Don’t look over your to-do list.
  • Don’t think about work. At all.

Oh, and don’t forget to put your feet up, read a book, enjoy the company of friends and family, celebrate the meaning of Memorial Day.

Happy holiday. We’ll talk tomorrow.
