What’s on the iPod: Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys

By the time you read this, I’ll have been in Boston and will be heading back. His mom’s 90th birthday party was yesterday and we were all gathering post-storm in Boston to celebrate.

Because it’s Friday and I have a BIG weekend ahead (football anyone?), I thought I’d leave you with something fun.

First, the commercial that became a classic:

Now, the modern version:

Have a great weekend – Go Steelers!!

My favorite Super bowl commercial ever is the "herding cats" one. I still fall off my chair laughing whenever I see it.

    Dropkick Murphys! Well done.

There have been enough good ads over time that I'm at a loss to pick just one. Every time I see a new top 10 list, it makes it harder.

Well, got all of the week's urgent deadlines out the door and I'm taking a short day today. Off to the Phoenix Open to volunteer as a walking standard bearer — the guys who carry the signs alongside the group with the players' names and current scores. Excited to be "inside the ropes"!

The one thing that I miss out on by not being a sports fan is watching Super Bowl commercials. Yet somehow I don't feel like I'm missing much.

Oh, could somebody please call me after the Super Bowl is over so I can watch Glee? Not sure if the DVR will catch it.

I love that one too, Devon. 🙂

Jake, that IS exciting! How was it?

Paula, there were a few great commercials, and of course a few "huh?" ones (like the Audi ad – can we say "too tedious"?).

Had a great time, Susan! Still amazed at how much snow you guys live with!
