Goodnight Irene

Posted on August 29, 2011 by lwidmer

If you’re seeing this post, I’m offline. I’m writing this Friday afternoon, when the forecasts are all predicting Irene is blowing into town for a whirlwind visit (so to speak). There’s a chance I’ll be offline due to power outages – we get them during small thunderstorms, so I don’t expect miracles here.

So in my absence, please check out the link to the left. Anne Wayman and I are working hard on something that I hope you’ll fall in love with, and we’re about ready to announce. If you sign up, we’ll notify you (we won’t bug you, I promise).

Check out a few of my favorite blogs, too:

Anne Wayman’s About Freelance Writing

Cathy Miller’s

Dan Ditzler’s Newton Ideas

Devon Ellington’s Ink In My Coffee

Dr. Freelance Jake Poinier

Jenn Mattern’s All Freelance Writing (though Jenn could be offline, as well)

That's our Lori, prepared for any contingency!

Sounds like your area had tons of torrential rain and possibly tornado warnings. I hope the tornadoes and floodwaters steered clear of your home.

Okay, what are you doing in Ontario? Not that it's any of my business

Glad the storm was relatively mild.

Haven't had to have a sump pump since I quit living on a boat – then they're called bilge pumps and are often hooked to batteries 😉

Going fishing, Anne. Spending time with the parents and fishing. Dad needs someone to sit on the other side of the boat and hold the net when he hauls in the big one. 🙂
