Vacation Week: Music That Inspires Me

Posted on November 26, 2014 by lwidmer

I hope to have finished my immediate projects and have today off. I suspect so, as Friday went well with one particular project. If so, I’m checking in as I bake and prepare for tomorrow.

Today I’m sharing a few favorite videos. Please share links to your favorites in the comments section.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

What are you listening to?

My two favourites are Inner Terrestrials (ska/dub/punk) and Firepit Collective (folk/punk). Same singer in both, they're fairly controversial so I'm going to try to find songs that are quite tame 🙂 They're mainly anti- songs, anti-fascist, anti-establishment, anti-religion, anti-monarchy etc.

We go to a lot of traveller festivals every year, and one or the other of them (sometimes both!) are always playing. We even saw Terrestrials at a squat party in Amsterdam earlier this year.

PS. In trying to find the right tracks I've just spent half an hour listening to music and bouncing around my office – bad influence Lori!

PPS. See all the crazies jumping around in the audience? That's what I do in my free time 🙂

LOL! Glad to be a bad influence, Emily. We all need a little break now and then. 🙂

One of my all-time favorite groups? Frightened Rabbit. We've seen them in concert a few times now.

I'll check out your videos — thanks!
