"Anne is also one of my dearest friends. And I’ve never met her. That’s who she is — she loves you even from a distance. She becomes that integral part of your life without you even realizing it. And then one day, you realize it. And you’re pretty damned glad she’s in your orbit — or rather that you’re in hers. Anne, you see, is what I call a catnip person. Good luck not being drawn to her energy."

Could not have said it better.

Sorry, I'm a bit late to the game. Picked up our puppy yesterday. :-) Anne's blog was also one of the first freelance help sites I found when I started my freelance career almost 10 years ago (where does the time go)? The funny thing is we were both living in San Diego at the time, but Anne and I did not meet until after I moved from San Diego and came back for the 3-Day, 60-Mile Walk each year. Lunch with Anne is one of my favorite 3-Day traditions!

I've always loved Anne's calm, positive approach to writing and life. Her handling of the fear all writers have is classic Anne. :-)

Lol, I forget in away that Lori and I have yet to meet f2f. I've always felt bonded to her in some way. Small wonder... look at the nice nice super nice things she's saying about me! I'm loving it.

Just reread the article I wrote, and yes, I made a typo - enveloped should be envelopes - sigh. Fourth 'graph below 'My First Big 'Yes' if you're curious.

Regardless I'm really tickled I wrote it... for it rings even truer today than it did when I wrote it for Writer's Worth Month. What a wonderful celebration and learning Lori has created for us all. Lori is also a true giver.

Thanks, kiddo... warm, long, luxurious virtual hug....

Anne never ceases to amaze me. This time by sharing that she was afraid not of writing, but of how others might react to the idea of her writing.

Like countless other writers, Anne, I'm so glad you didn't let that fear stop you from following your dreams. So many of us count on your sage advice, which usually comes in the form of questions designed to get us to view things from a fresh perspective and discover our own answers.
