I need a lot of quiet. A lot of solitude. I removed myself from a couple of organizations who tried to force me to be on their front lines when I said I would only work behind-the-scenes because I was miserable. And it was volunteer work, so I really got less than nothing.]]></description>

I&#039;ve always believed the concept of punctuated equilibrium applies to us as individuals, not just the theory of evolution. Life isn&#039;t a straight line, or even a gentle curve. As you so rightly describe here, we have at least *some* choice in deciding where those punctuation (ugh, sorry for the writing pun) points happen.]]></description>
