It’s true — we make time. We make time to read. We make time to watch TV. We make time to play one more round of WordBrain…. yet we don’t make time to build a solid career?

The one that makes me want to scream is the “I don’t have time.” We never HAVE time for anything. We MAKE time. We all HAVE 24 hours in every day. It’s how we choose to use them that differentiate us. I just walk way when someone starts the “no time” whine. I CHOOSE not to have time for them.

They have time to eat lunch, dinner, go to a movie, visit friends… it takes so little time to do this job right, it’s ridiculous. No excuses!

I always hear people say they don’t have the time. They have time to go buy coffee, go the the gym, watch TV, hang out with friends—and complain, of course.

Like you said: 10 minutes researching a potential client. Another 15 minutes to send a query or LOI.
