I've never thought to check my word count on LOIs. I'll start doing that. I'm pretty good at guessing word counts when writing articles, so I'd say my LOIs probably come in around 300 words. But when you have to include lengthy titles, the words add up!

Keri, it comes with practice. What worked for me was switching the conversation around in my head – instead of selling them on something, I was helping them figure out a problem. That helped me lose the jitters and focus more on the goal, which is to make them happy.

Lucky! I was snowed in for a day, and my car was still sliding around the streets today after I shoveled it out. Definitely not the snowpocalypse they promised ;) but only 1-2 inches would have been nice!

Great tips list here. Client communication is something I'm still learning through experience, but I feel MUCH more confident about it now than I did a year ago. I learned quite a few of your tips through trial and error along the way!
