November is seldom good for me since I am gone half the month for the 3-Day Walk.

This December is slower than usual, but hope springs eternal. :-)

November was good, excellent in fact, and December is now looking almost as good.

Am doing some reassessment of stuff... does that ever stop? Probably when we drop dead or really retire.

Mostly it comes from my website and referrals and repeat customers... always nice.

November was up and down, and I had two big book editing clients flake out and break contract now for early December, so I'm scrambling to make that up.

After a big October, November felt a little slow, but I was gone for nearly an entire week.

Queries: Sent one batch to Favorite Editor (two were assigned this week). Sent one idea to the EIC of a major magazine I'd corresponded with via LOI about a year ago and occasionally follow up with. She loved the idea and CC'd her reply to one of her editors, saying she hoped he'd be in touch with me soon since it was a great idea. Fingers crossed.

LOIs: This time a former publicist I know sent an LOI for me! She knew of a big name blog that needed skilled writers and made the introduction for me. No word yet, but it's only been two weeks.

Listings: Replied to two listing what sounded perfect for me. Had an autoreply from one, nothing from the other.

Existing clients: Working on three articles for two clients. (Just picked up two more assignments from one of them as well.) Turned in two columns. One client assigned something, then backed out because their publishing schedule changed. She said she'll have something else lined up soon.

Earnings: About $500 under my modest monthly goal.

Bottom line: Following up on LOIs helps a lot.
