Anne, it's the "gentle" that I like best. Gentle is the perfect word for this past week.

Devon, love seeing your GDR updated. I'll have to visit today while I still have spare time. And BR's sales are fantastic, though I will say their post-holiday sale at the outlets were abyssmal. Better to go to the mall instead.

EP, I've often wanted to go to Berlin. I've heard it's quite lovely. Lucky you! And happy 2013 to you as well, friend.

It's nice and quiet. I worked on my Goals, Dreams, and Resolutions for the year, read a lot, and am writing a short story for each day of the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Also got a wacky idea for a proposal for my agent, so I'm working on that.

I LOVE Banana Republic when they have sales! Everything I've bought there has been really good quality, and I like a lot of the simplicity n the designs. Enjoy!

Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas. Me, too. :-) My sister, her husband, son & adorable white miniature schnauzer, Kali, arrived for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

My nephew shared photos from his summer spent in Japan. Fascinating - not what I pictured.

We had a late white Christmas and the day after I woke up with a cold. :-( I usually only get one per year and I almost made it through 2012 without one.

So, what do I decide to do? Change my theme on my business blog. Of course, I now have wonky things to work out. I figured better now when I'm not busy than later on.

Somehow, I stupidly scheduled my annual physical three days after the beginning of the New Year. How dumb was that? Then a few days later I have my appointment for my refraction on my damaged cornea. Fingers crossed.

Have a fabulous rest of the holiday and enjoy the calm (?). :-)

I'm glad you had a great Christmas, Lori. I did, too. Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my brother's family and their sweet and not-so-little 4-month old puppy. The rest of the extended family joined us on Christmas day. Loads of fun, tons of great food, lots of surprises (they even got me - big time!).

My 8-year old niece beat me at Words with Friends. She's smart. She added e/d/s to all the big words. My 9-year old nephew was one or two points shy of her. He added "b" in front of my "limp." They gloated all day because they beat Auntie Paula. Love it!

This is the one week each year I try to take off, but I might send an LOI or two so I don't feel like a total slacker.
