I'm all about randomness this week. Got a bit of editing done and one article turned in, amid construction chaos.

The new roof is on (they had to come back this morning to finish it). They stripped off 4 layers and 92-years worth of shingles, including the original ceder shakes. I've never seen people work that hard. They were here 11 hours, doing hard manual labor and only took one 30 minute break for lunch. I was tired just watching them.

And, you know me...I asked the the guy cleaning the debris on the ground to toss any decent shakes into a box. This morning the project manager saw them and thought his guys forgot to dump it, then realized I'm the kind of person who'd try to make something out of the old shakes. Picture frames, anyone? Maybe coasters?

Next up - choosing the new siding.

It's also I Love Yarn Day, so you know I'm in a good mood!

Thanks for mentioning the e-book retirement Lori. I'm excited about the future plans for the work. :)

And wow. I completely forgot we were that close to NaNoWriMo. I've never been a huge fan of the concept (for me at least), but I can appreciate anything that gets people writing. And that reminds me we have two custom-coded word count trackers I should start promoting. ;)

Thanks for the mention of DEATH SPARKLES. I'm really proud of the story I've got in it.

I'm not doing Nano either -- too much other stuff, and too big a courseload at Coursera.
