Amen to that last one!! It's been a great year for me financially (I know, because I just did my taxes) and I NEVER would have believed that would be possible when I first started. Nothin' like being financially independent and in charge of your own schedule and work hours!

I love being able to make a living at doing something I love and would be doing anyway. I love knowing I'm good at what I do. I love being so busy that I can turn work over to other people, and knowing that they're so good I look great for referring them. And I love, when a prospective client offers me a laughable amount, that I can laugh.

Apparently we have an unofficial Footwear-Free club.

I love getting to read blogs like this one while having my mid-morning tea.

Funny, when I tell people I'm a writer, at least half of them say, "Me, too!" And when I ask what they're working on the answer is usually, "I have some great ideas." Translation: they aren't even aspiring writers, since aspiring writers are actively working toward their goals.

I love being paid to follow where ever my interests take me.

And yeah, I don't wear shoes unless I leave the house, either!
