I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

I get blisters and abrasions just wearing my already-broken-in and properly-fitting shoes, so I can't imagine such a long walk. Then again, I have overly sensitive skin and lifelong foot problems, so my feet hurt after anything more than a 1-mile walk. If the blister I have on my heel right now means you won't get any blisters, I'm happy to oblige.

My weekend was quiet. I decided not to turn the computer on at all Saturday (beautiful weather), and on Sunday (cold, rainy, windy) I discovered one of my favorite west-coast editors had asked me to do two of six articles for a special section they'd just planned…copy is due by Thursday. Luckily he and the other two writers (and the publicist we'll all be working with) were checking e-mail, so we worked out some details.

I leave for San Diego a week from Friday and the Walk is 2 weeks from Friday. Pray to the no blisters gods!

Needless to say, I've been frantically tying up ends. Our weather is supposed to get much colder here-but no snow-knock on wood. Stay warm, Lori!
