I shoveled a bit more this weekend (most of the big snow is now cleared, but not quite all), and my sister brought her dogs out for their 2-week vacation while she meets up with her husband in Paris (he's on Sabbatical; she isn't). I got a get lunch out of that at our favorite little Vietnamese restaurant.

Have a few small things this week and lots of marketing I need to get to. My favorite editor is already looking for ideas for their massive June issue, so I want to get more ideas in ASAP.

I also volunteered to knock out a press release on behalf of the neighborhood school's PTO - concerning the school board's threat to close it.

Mom is recovering from knee replacement surgery. It is extremely challenging right now to be very productive. There are PT visits (thankfully in our home), visits from the RN and my new role of Nancy Nurse. I am thankful I am here to help, but I can't figure out how to rearrange my schedule for more productivity. Enough whining.

I spent a good part of my weekend on the transfer of my personal blog. I am almost there and can't wait to release it.

Sorry about the game, Lori. I like both teams and would have been happy with any outcome. At least it wasn't one of those historical Super Bowl blow-outs.

Is it just me or have the commercials really gone down the tube the last few years?

I know one way to be more productive, get to work. :-) I've been missing my blog chums. BTW, Jake-very cool-I am a Fred Couples fan as well.

Fred? I love Fred! How was his weekend?

I understand about fandom, Jake. Tough to care about a game if your team isn't in it.

Sorry about the Steelers. My cheesehead wife is elated, and I am pretending to be excited for her. But as soon as the Patriots were out, so was I.

The Phoenix Open was a blast. I carried the standard for Fred Couples' group, which was darn cool. One of the other players, Cameron Beckman, looked like he might be in contention, but now sitting tied for 14th. Truly a thrill to see up close what those guys can do with a golf ball.

This week starts with a deadline rush, so back to the grind!

Still that insurance issue? Lord, they're giving you such a hassle!

I'm the same. Plenty this month, but March is going to be sparse if I don't get some new stuff in.

I'm looking forward to spending some time in Cambridge in the Spring. It's about two hours on the train for me here, once I actually get to the train!

This week, I've got the book to work on, two reviews to write, an essay to write, a possible short story to write. Somewhere in there, I have to market, because I have NOTHING booked for March, although April and May are full.

And I have to sign up for insurance, or I get fined.
