Lori, you don’t need to upload the image. Just point to its location on the no-spec.com site. Like this for the first logo option: [a href=”http://www.no-spec.com”][IMG SRC=”http://www.proscodi.com/nospec/downloads/no-spec180u.gif”]. As Leigh pointed out, you’ll have to replace the [] with <>. If you want one of the other logos, just left click on it, scroll down to “Properties” and copy the address given into the IMG SRC tag.

Okay, then host the image at a photo hosting site like Photo Bucket or the like. Then the code would be [a href="http://www.no-spec.com"][img src="http://www.photobucket.com/linktophoto" width="180" height="170" alt="No-Spec Logo"][/a]

The img src= would be whatever link Photo Bucket generates for you. I just made something up as an example.

I was thinking you were going to upload it to your main Web site, not a Blogger blog. Sorry about that!

Leigh, that’s the problem. I don’t think I can upload anything on this site. I don’t think Blogger has storage space for that, does it?

You can link the logo to the No-Spec Web site just like you would link text. The code will look like this (in my example, I named the file nospec.jpg).

[a href="http://www.no-spec.com"][img src="nospec.jpg" border="0" width="180" height="170" alt="No-Spec Logo"][/a]

The values for height and width will change depending on your site and how it looks best; the important thing to know here is using the anchor tag to point to the No-Spec Web site. Don't forget to upload the image on your server first as well or you'll get an annoying blank box with a red X in the corner!

NOTE: I just had to change the <> to [ and ] for the img part of the code; Blogger wouldn't let me post it the correct way. So use the same wording, just replace the [ and ] with < and >.

Second note: I had to replace the <> with [] all the way around because when I previewed my post, it used the anchor tag to link to the text I had written there. So just replace all brackets with the usual hairpins and you'll be good to go. E-mail me or leave a comment on my blog if you get stuck.

Thanks for this, Lori. I just signed the petition too, although I felt a tad like a hypocrite in doing so. Although I will NOT write on spec, I do provide 2-3-page editing samples every now and then. If no one helps you out with the logo/link question before then, I’ll look it up in my Web Pages for Dummies book and get back to you later today.
